The four door crossover utility vehicle is powered with a 2.4-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine along with a standard five-speed automatic transmission that produces 166-horsepower and 161 ft-lbs. of torque. The CR-V achieves 23/30 mpg city/highway in the front-wheel-drive models and 22/28 for four-wheel-drive.
The main revision that CR-V receives is its Real Time 4WD system, which now delivers 20% additional torque to the rear wheels on slippery road. The latest technology used in CR-V includes a radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control system along with a Collision Mitigation Braking System. The Cruise Control system maintains a fixed distance between the CR-V and a car while cruising, whereas, the Braking system warns the driver about the imminent collision before actively applying the brakes itself.
