BIOMETRICS FIRM IDENTIFIES RALLY DRIVERS

The rest of course is now history as the Insurance Office of America Fireball Run Transcontinental Rally is the first road rally to incorporate biometric technology.
Teams won't be able to "pull a fast one" on Fireball Run staff. Each team member will be issued a unique identification card which stores the individuals' bioprint. Competitors checking-in must match the imprint on the card in order to successfully complete each leg of the rally. "This will prevent team swapping and makes cheating impossible" says event organizer J. Sanchez "Team reaction is great- they're excited to test this new system out."
Used within government, schools, businesses and now a rally, biometrics uniquely recognize humans based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits. Recent advancements in networking, communication and mobility have greatly increased the reliability and ability to authenticate the identity of any person.
