ever independent beer festival from
2 July, which will feature all 12 different ales from the Wentworth Brewery range.
Although the JD Wetherspoon chain, which owns Prior John, hosts two national beer
festivals, the pub in Bridlington has decided to take local demand into account and
host a separate festival showcasing Wentworth speciality ales.
"Ales are very popular among the locals. We sell over 1,500 pints a week. So we
decided to host an exclusive beer festival, and we hope to sell about 2,000 pints
next week. If this goes well, then we will continue the festival in future," said
pub manager Sandi Cook. To go with the hearty ales will be traditional pub grub
from the pub's kitchen."

The full range of Wentworth real ale will be available, comprising:
Imperial Ale 3.8 % ABV
WPA 4.0% ABV
Small Copper 4.1% ABV
Best Bitter 4.1% ABV
Bumble Beer 4.3% ABV
Black Zac 4.6% ABV
Oatmeal Stout 4.8% ABV
Painted Lady 4.8% ABV
Marbled White 4.8% ABV
Prior John's Strong Golden Ale 5.0% ABV
Gryphon 5.1% ABV
Rampant Gryphon 6.2% ABV
Wentworth's Chris Tinker, said; "All our beers contain only natural ingredients with
no artificial additives or chemicals. Our ability to create new and unique brews at
short notice is another major selling point. It's a real pleasure to be supplying
Sandi and Prior John for their beer festival, which we're sure will go down great
guns with local ale fans in Bridlington and the surrounding areas. We especially
hope they enjoy Prior John's Strong Golden Ale, at 5.0% ABV, which we have brewed
specially for their festival."
