Auxiliary Teams Up with PaceButler Corp to Raise Funds to Build State of the Art Diagnostic Center

Released on = July 11, 2007, 11:58 am

Press Release Author = Amber Johnson / PaceButler Corp.

Industry = Healthcare

Press Release Summary = St. Mary\'s HealthCare Auxiliary has joined forces with cell
phone recycling giant PaceButler to build a women\'s diagnostic center at Sts. Mary
and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

Press Release Body = Louisville, Ky., --- The St. Mary\'s HealthCare Auxiliary is
currently raising funds which will be used to help build a women\'s diagnostic center
at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, which will offer state-of-the-art digital
mammography, ultrasound, bone densitronomy, stereotactic biopsy, and provide test
results to patients before leaving the center.

One of many ways the Auxiliary is raising money for the center is through the
collection of used and unwanted cell phones. The Auxiliary is collaborating with
PaceButler, a corporation located in Edmond, Oklahoma and one of the country\'s
leaders in cell phone recycling (visit http://www.pacebutler.com). The cell phones
are paid for and recycled in a responsible manner, ensuring they do not end up in
landfills. The Auxiliary is asking for the community's help through their donations
of used or unwanted cell phones, and because the Auxiliary is non-profit, all
donations are tax-deductible.

With the growing use of cell phones in the U.S., some estimates show that increasing
numbers of idle cell phones may reach as many as 500 million, most of which will end
up in the trash, resulting in hundreds of tons of waste and added toxins to
landfills for years to come.

Though the simple donation of a used or unwanted cell phone to the Auxiliary,
participants can help keep the environment clean, while helping the organization
raise funds to support the Women's Diagnostic Center.

All cell phone donations may be dropped off at the Volunteer Office located at Sts.
Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, 1850 Bluegrass Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. Cell phones may also be dropped off at the hospital's information desk any day
of the week.

For more information, call Linda Phillips at 502-375-4335. To find a cell phone
donation location in your area visit http://www.AmericanCellPhoneDrive.org.

St. Mary's HealthCare Auxiliary is a non-profit organization whose purpose is
raising funds for Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and Our Lady of Peace, providing
volunteer services for both hospitals, while promoting positive community relations.
