Press Release Body = On Sunday, July 22 at 6pm (EST), MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, the most
popular movie talk radio program on the internet, will broadcast a special 2-hour
tribute to director Brian De Palma (Dressed to Kill, The Untouchables, Scarface).
During the broadcast, several of De Palma\'s closest friends, collaborators and
devotees will share their insights into the artist and his landmark roster of
unforgettable films.

Author Eyal Peretz, whose new book Becoming Visionary: Brian De Palma\'s Cinematic
Education of the Senses will be released this October, will discuss the
philosophical ideas present in some of De Palma\'s most audacious works, including
Carrie, The Fury, Blow Out and Femme Fatale.

Actors William Katt and William Finley will join the Movie Geeks to discuss their
working relationships with De Palma. Katt, who was featured in the 1976 De Palma
classic Carrie, as well as the widely beloved television series The Greatest
American Hero, inadvertently won his role in De Palma\'s film while auditioning to
play Luke Skywalker in the George Lucas classic Star Wars. William Finley, the
brilliant character actor who attended college with De Palma, has been featured in
many of De Palma\'s films, including Phantom of the Paradise, Sisters and The Black
Dahlia.

Speaking to the ever-growing De Palma appreciation movement brewing on the internet,
web host and musician Geoff Beran will join the broadcast to discuss his website, De
Palma A La Mod, as well as his personal impressions of the man and his films.
Beran\'s website is one of the most impressive and thorough such fan sites on the
net.

The highly regarded film critic from the New York Press, Armond White, will join the
Movie Geeks for a critical roundtable discussion of some of De Palma\'s most
important works. White has assumed the mantle of legendary film critic Pauline Kael,
in sharing her unapologetic appreciation of De Palma\'s work.

Archived interview segments will be interspersed throughout the broadcast from Slant
magazine critic Keith Uhlich and Scarface actor Steven Bauer.
