Press Release Body = The largest independent petition for Dog the Bounty Hunter is
about to close. www.dogspetition.co.nr was set up on September 14th 2006 after news
broke that Duane \'Dog\' Chapman, star of A&E\'s most popular show, Dog the Bounty
Hunter was arrested along with his brother Tim and son Leland for the capture of
convicted rapist Andrew Luster in July 2003. Luster had fled to Mexico after being
convicted of 86 counts of rape. Dog and his crew tracked him for months before Dog
and his crew found him in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After that, Dog, Leland, Tim were
arrested by Mexican police for the deprivation of liberty of Andrew Luster. After
the three were bailed out in 2003, they returned to Hawaii to start their own
reality TV show.
In September 2006, after three successful seasons of Dog the Bounty Hunter, Dog,
Leland and Tim were arrested for the deprivation of liberty of Andrew Luster, and
they faced extradition to Mexico to face a jail sentence.
Since then, this petition has accumulated more than 30,000 signatures, asking for
the Chapman three to be released.
Now, the petition maybe sent to the White House officials to show the world wide
support for Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Petition author James Isels says: \"During the 10 months my petition has been open,
we have had many visitors from all over the world. America, UK, Canada, Finland,
Germany, France, Australia and more. The support has been great.\"
