TAMPA - The steady buzz of excitement is increasing as the date nears for a Florida
first - sextuplets! The "Byler Bunch," five boys and one girl, are due in September
and will be Florida\'s first set of sextuplets and only the 15th set ever born in the
United States.

On Saturday, August 25, "Tampa Bay's Biggest Baby Shower" will take place to
commemorate this momentous event and help expectant parents Karoline and Ben Byler
prepare for what will soon become a family of nine. The event is being coordinated
by a group of moms and volunteers dubbing themselves the Friends of the Byler Bunch
Committee. The carnival-themed event will be held at Idlewild Baptist Church,
located off N. Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz, north of Van Dyke Road and the Veteran's
Expressway from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is free and the entire community is invited to participate. There will be
entertainment, food, music, gift basket awards and prizes, face painting, clowns,
inflatable bounce houses, popcorn, cotton candy, speed pitch and other carnival
games. Tickets for carnival games and concession food will be sold for a nominal
fee.

"We are so encouraged by the businesses and people who have come forward to
participate in the event. We are expecting a great turnout! It's the best gift we,
the Tampa Bay area, can all give to this amazing family," said Wyndy Olson, a
family friend and member of the organizing committee.

Many local family-oriented businesses have donated their time and resources to help
make this a successful event, including One Fine Day Event Planning , Sensory5,
Concept Bait, The Jogging Stroller Company, SignWorks, The Cushie Company, Acid
Flyers, Nannies Who Care, Bay Bounce, McDonald's, Cotton Candy, Trendy Things for
Tots, Publix, Babies 'R Us and many others.

As Karoline Byler, 29, successfully enters her 26th week of pregnancy, she and
Florida\'s first sextuplets are healthy and on track. Hopes are running high that the
community will respond to this very special and historic first by coming out to
enjoy a day of family fun and show their support. Any proceeds and donations from
the event will go to the Byler Family.
