Rocha Software Ltda. has released Flexdict for Windows, an easy-to-use translation and dictionary software with instant single-click activation and dictionaries for English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch and Swedish.
Flexdict uses an innovative on-screen text recognition engine that allows the text under the mouse pointer to be automatically recognized by the software, making it unnecessary to type words or use copy/paste. You only need to hold the Ctrl key and right-click any word to get an immediate answer. The text recognition feature works together with your web browser, email client, office application, IM client and virtually any Windows application.
Flexdict includes a comprehensive English dictionary with over 200,000 definitions and allows bilingual dictionaries, technical glossaries, and even a concise version of the Wikipedia encyclopedia to be easily added. All dictionaries can be used offline. An important feature of the software is the use of text-to-speech technology to allow you to hear the proper pronunciation of each term.
