Press Release Body:
Pasadena, CA September 2007 - Vignettes for Training (VFT), an e-Learning
workshop producer presents a soft-skill e-Learning simulation on Negotiation
entitled \"Interview with the Vagabond\" produced by Michael Gibson. The
soft-skill simulation uses Scenario-based e-Learning to engage the learner in
high involvement.

In the \"Vagabond\", you are confronted with a dangerous situation. It is a life
and death situation and you must negotiate to get out of this situation.
For e-Learning to be effective, it must be highly interactive and engaging.
However, most of the e-Learning today are boring page-turners that fail to
help in retention. This problem is even worse when teaching soft-skills online.
The model \"Interview with the Vagabond\" uses emotionally-charged situations,
scenarios, and real-life events to put the learner on the spot. The learner cannot
help but be involved in the scenario. To preview the Scenario-based e-Learning
(SBL), visit and click \"Interview with the Vagabond\":

Ray Jimenez, PhD, facilitator for the workshops on Scenario-based e-Learning
suggests that e-Learning developers follow some of these ideas:
o Select emotionally-provocative stories and real-life events
o Build a powerful story with realistic characters
o Allow the learners to discover and never to show answers

Using emotionally-charged events in Scenario-based e-Learning is only one
of the many topics covered in Ray Jimenez\'s workshop on Scenario-based e-Learning
scheduled in Chicago, IL and Pasadena, CA, on December 4 and 7, 2007. To learn more,
