About UKULA: Founded in 2003, UKULA - the company - publishes a unique, grassroots,
arts and culture quarterly magazine distributed in Montreal, Toronto, and soon to
be available in NYC. Co-founders Graeme Maclean and Kevin Renton started the
company by hosting wildly popular DJ nights in Montreal and Toronto that evolved
into a website, magazine, and retail store with a mandate to promote leading-edge
talent in music, literature, art, film, fashion and design. UKULA has received
exceptional support from established artists in their respective fields, including:
indie-rock pioneer Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), actor Cillian Murphy (28 Days
Later), and acclaimed author Steven Hall (The Raw Shark Texts) among others. So,
what's the deal with UKULA? "Just ask Graeme Maclean and Kevin Renton (as in
Trainspotting), the two Scottish indie obsessives behind UKULA, a new ground zero
for all things impossibly cool in music, books and fashion." - The Globe and Mail.
