College Kids Seek Freedom in Their Online Communities

Released on: October 23, 2007, 9:38 pm

Press Release Author: Audacia Ray

Industry: Advertising

Press Release Summary: Popular sites such as Myspace and Facebook losing ground to
newer sites offering \"more freedom\" in the online world

Press Release Body: Orlando, FL ( Expresspressrelease ) September 21, 2007: -
America\'s coeds are on the brink of a sexual revolution. They are tired of their
natural urges being labeled \"inappropriate\", \"lewd\" or \"wrong.\" The time has come
for a place where anything goes. ThePeeq.com is that place.

College students want an outlet to express their desires, ask questions about sex
and debate issues that matter to them. Sites like MySpace.com and href=http://www.facebook.com/>Facebook.com do not allow the posting of sexy
pictures. The message is: Sex is dirty. You shouldn\'t be doing it and if you are,
don\'t talk about it or show anyone.

ThePeeq.com takes a different approach. This newly-launched website encourages
college students to form social networking
groups where they can blog, post pictures and read (and contribute) informative,
humorous content.

Lena Chen, a junior at Harvard University and author of the blog Sex and the Ivy
recently wrote a series of \"Sex on Campus\" columns for The Peeq, focusing on the
naughty traditions Harvard students take part in, including streaking, peeing on the
statue of John Harvard and getting it on in the stacks of Widener Library.

This fall, The Peeq online community will be
visiting college campuses across the US, spreading their message that sex is an
enjoyable, sometimes-embarrassing, sometimes erotic thing that should be celebrated,
not hidden away. A round-table discussion with UCLA students will take place on
Sunday October 7, 2007 on the Radio Free Moscow show hosted by Mike Moskowitz.

Ronnie Koenig, editor-in-chief of The Peeq says that there needs to be something in
between the clinical information given to students at health services and the
drunken antics of Girls Gone Wild. \"There\'s room for a place where students can have
an intelligent discussion about sex.although we\'re not above showcasing the baser
side of sex - the bodily functions, the mishaps and miscommunications. There are
some college students who are ready to post naked pictures of themselves online
while others might want information about buying their first vibrator. No matter how
experienced you are, there\'s a place for you here.\"

About The Peeq:

The Peeq was founded in 2006 and features href=http://www.thepeeq.com/Departments/Photography/>sexy photography, humorous
articles, erotic fiction and personal essays. They are intent on building a safe
community for the exploration of sex where users will not be judged.
