An
interactive Mobile Travel Guide for Smatphone and
PDA users was today launched for Canada at http://global-travel.mobi/canada.php.
The Mobile Travel Guide includes destinations in
Canada such as British Culumbia, Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia
and assist tourist's in finding travel information on Toronto,
Vancouver,
Montreal,
Ottawa
and Halifax
.
global-TRAVEl.mobi
does not charge anything to access the destination guides on her
Mobile portal and only data charges may occur from network providers.
This
compliments the Mobile
Hotel Database of Canada that was launched in April 2007.
Leisure
and Business Travellers now have the opportunity to see what Toronto,
Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax have to offer on their smartphone.
During
the month of October, global-TRAVEL.mobi will be
launching additiomal 3G Mobile Travel Guides in
Greece, Malta, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
To
recoup some of the investment, global-TRAVEL.mobi is
planing to licence it's mobile content on a white label basis to
network operators in Asia, the America's and Europe on an exclusive
basis or through a Content Partner Revenue Sharing Agreements.
The
global-TRAVEl.mobi project is based on the MP1.2
XML/xhtml standard, specifically developed for mobile phones and
handheld devices.
global-TRAVEL.mobi
was developed by Shahfira Mobile Limited,
an Indonesian/German joint venture with it's headquarter in London,
England. A Mobile Content development office is being planed by
year-end in Malaysia. Shahfira Mobile (UK) Limited is
a member of Forum Nokia, a program that provides advanced technical
support to mobile developers.
