Press Release Author: Fred and Gail Taylor

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: Antique Shows of Florida has expanded, opening a new venue
between Naples and Ft. Myers in February 2008

Press Release Body: Florida show promoters Yvonne and Jim Tucker have announced the
inauguration of a new Southwest Florida show in February 2008. The Tuckers, owners
of Antique Shows of Florida, have been in the antiques related business for over
forty years as dealers and as founders of the original Antique and Collectibles
Dealer's Association, now known as the Antique and Collectibles National
Association. They formed Antique Shows of Florida in 2006 just in time for the 2007
season after acquiring several Florida West Coast shows from Bill and Kay Puchstein.

The new show, the South Ft. Myers/Naples Antique Show, will open February 22 and 23
at the Three Oaks Banquet and Conference Center at 20991 Three Oaks Parkway in
Estero, halfway between Ft. Myers and Naples, just off I-75. This beautiful and
convenient facility will showcase sixty quality dealers in a comfortable atmosphere.
Other shows under the Antique Shows of Florida banner for the 2008 season include
the Crystal River Antique Show, National Guard Armory, Crystal River on January 5-6,
the Venice Antique Show, Venice Community Center, Venice, FL, January 19-20 and
February 16-17 and the Inverness Antique Show, Citrus County Auditorium, Inverness,
FL, February 2-3.

All of the shows have glass repair and restoration specialists and many of them have
a jewelry repair person on hand. Several shows have appraisals available and for the
2008 season there will be some specialized appraisals available. All shows have free
parking and entrance fees are very reasonable, ranging from $3.00 to $6.00. All
venues are indoors and air conditioned and offer concessions for visitors, usually
for the benefit of a local charity.

Having been dealers, the Tuckers are especially focused on amenities for their show
dealers, knowing that a satisfied dealer will help produce a successful show. The
Tuckers have pledged to do their part in the advertising and promotion of their
shows including direct mailings, trade and local publication advertising, local
display signs, passing out flyers locally and making space available for local
dealers to display flyers and brochures. Then it is up to the dealers to bring good
quality merchandise that is fairly priced and displayed professionally. They have
been extremely successful according to dealers in their 2007 shows.

Ron Ferguson, a dealer of general antiques in Venice, had a booth at both Venice
shows last season. He said, "These were the easiest shows I have ever done. I have
never dealt with such great people as the Tuckers." He cited such conveniences as
the relief provided for his booth if he needed to take a break and porters to help
him set up. He reported that he had a great event at both shows with good traffic
and good sales.

Gloria Wright, a dealer for over twenty five years had similar praise for the
Tuckers. She comes to Florida for the Winter season and does all of the Antique
Shows of Florida events. She finds the Tuckers to be "very good promoters - easy to
deal with, considerate and honorable." Wright is a specialist in Victoriana and said
she does very well at the Florida shows.
