U.S.A. Meets Brazil Volume 1. Writer and producer,
Omar Wassan, chronicles Hip-Hop explosion in Brazil. Since
its creation, Hip-Hop impact can be seen worldwide, but very little
know that the world's most active Hip-Hop scene on the planet exist
in Brazil.
"Brazil is a country that already has a reputation for
its rich music, dance and art," stated filmmaker Omar
Wassan. "This movie highlights the latest evolution
in Brazil's artistic expression. Their wisdom, passion and strength
are all highlighted in Hip-Hop U.S.A. Meets Brazil."
Hip-Hop USA Meets Brazil takes you on a journey
from the hip-hop onset in South Bronx to its explosion in South
America. This journey includes scenes of Samba at Carnival and Capoeria
on the beaches in Rio. Wassan takes the audience inside a world
that is as beautiful as it is dangerous.
Hip-Hop U.S.A. Meets Brazil features artist such as Lil
Jon, Digital Underground and beyond. Capoeristas
Mestre Zumbi, MC and former host of MTV Brazil Thaide, Brazilian
artist Spainy, Trutty, MC Goobie and many more are featured in this
one of a kind documentary.
