(Hudson, Ohio, USA / November 30, 2007) - Mighty Mikey's Marchers was named the top fundraising team at the Lock 3 "Light the NightŪ" Walk in Akron, Ohio, to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising over $4,300 to date. The team is sponsored by Radcom, a Northeast Ohio consulting firm specializing in instructional design and technical communication.
Mighty Mikey is a seven-year-old leukemia-fighting superhero and the son of Radcom principals, Bob and Angie Dianetti. Mighty Mikey had some other good news as well, this year he officially completed his leukemia treatments!
Team Captain Rob Catalano said, "This team is amazing in the way they are able to pull together for this cause. This event gets everyone in the company excited to be helping Mighty Mikey." This is the team's third year walking in the event. There were 24 members this year, including Mighty Mikey himself and Belle the Wonder Dog. Mighty Mikey said, "I love how all these people can come walk with me, and it was really nice that Belle could walk too!"
Mighty Mikey and the team send their thanks to Pizza Works in Warren, Ohio, for distributing team flyers to their customers and to Premier Printing and Signs of Stow, Ohio, for donating team business cards for the second year in a row.
