As the establishment of a Wind Farm is a long term project, Keystone's Insurance Cover is arranged in three main stages: anemometer stage, construction and erection stage, and operational stage. During the initial exploratory stages, an anemometer mast is erected to measure wind patterns & velocity. Once it has been established that the site is adequate and all relevant planning has been approved, the construction stage can commence. During the construction stage, insurance is provided to protect against injury, loss, destruction or damage on site. At the operational stage, cover for the turbines and associated infrastructure is provided to ensure both the operating company & its financiers are protected against all risks of physical loss or damage (including natural catastrophes) to the entire wind farm project.
