We all have a hard time actually relaxing-even on so called relaxing holidays we are busy planning picnics, buying fireworks, and dressing the kids in matching bonnets. Enough already! Live Like A Cat Day is quickly becoming an Internet phenomenon with thousands of participants already anxious to do nothing all day long. The holiday was inspired by Bobo, a cat owned by James and Kerri Thomson of Wichita, Kansas. In the summer of 2007, James and Kerri experienced the day to day stresses of planning their wedding while Bobo relaxed and remained completely oblivious to any chaos going on in the world around her.
While their own private Civil War raged over invitations and napkin colors, Bobo could often be found blissed out at the bottom of the clothes hamper. They wanted to be her. And like that, Live Like a Cat Day was born.
