Barnham Broom Hotel Encourages Businesses To `Break Out`

Released on: January 22, 2008, 2:05 am

Press Release Author: Shorthose Russell

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: Instead of the regular business meeting or conference,
Barnham Broom Hotel offers additional activities and events such as swimming or a
trip to the races, to inspire creativity and promote teambuilding.

Press Release Body: One of Norfolk's most popular and prestigious hotels and
conference venues is spearheading a new type of business meeting which enables
delegates to leave their laptops for a few hours.

The three star Barnham Broom Hotel in Norwich, believes that organisations can
motivate their staff by adding a new dimension to a conference, meeting or corporate
event, by encouraging them to take part in an activity which will inspire, renew and
rejuvenate.

The hotel which has seven state-of-the-art conference and banqueting suites holding
up to 200 people is now offering 'break out' conferences in which delegates are
given a few hours to experience something different.

Barnham Broom Hotel's Managing Director Noel Byrne explained: "It is well documented
that by giving people a new experience or a different place in which they can think
can help creativity, stimulate the senses and inspire new ideas.

"What we are suggesting is that built in to a conference, meeting or event is some
time for delegates to take a break from their usual working routine and sample
something different. It could be anything from having a relaxing swim, or vigorous
work out in our health and leisure club, to a gentle walk, a trip to the races or
visiting our two AA Rosette restaurant."

Deborah Lannon, the Hotels Conference and Events Coordinator says she has definitely
noticed a difference in the type of events businesses are now organising for their
staff. Deborah said: "We cater for all sorts of different organisations from very
small local businesses to multi-nationals and more and more of them are realising
the importance of down-time and we believe that this will become even more important
in 2008."
