Estrada Stars in New Film `The Blue Note`

Press Release Body: January 17, 2008 - San Antonio, TX - Comedian and actor Jade
Esteban Estrada will play the role of Sal, the maintenance man in the new short film
"The Blue Note' directed Adam Rendon. The world premiere will be held at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Bijou Cinema in Crossroads Mall located at 4522
Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas. Tickets are $5 at the door. For more

The story is based on the lives of two people who come together because they both
contemplate suicide and how their lives change after they meet.

The film also stars Michael Elam and Melissa Weltner.

\"The Blue Note\" is written and directed by Adam Rendon of Papasan Productions.

Estrada has been featured on "The Graham Norton Effect" on Comedy Central. His music
can be heard on "The Shield" on the FX Network. Other television appearances include
"30 Rock" and "Friday Night Lights" on NBC and "In The Life" on PBS.

"Estrada is not an icon by accident," raves Nicholas Snow of Notes from Hollywood.
The Southwest Actors Guide calls him "one of the finest solo theatre artists of the
21st century." The Oklahoma Gazette calls him a "prominent and controversial gay

The former Charo choreographer and scratch vocalist for the Back Street Boys has
been known for his highly acclaimed solo theatre shows including "Tortilla Heaven"
and "ICONS: The Lesbian and Gay History of the World, Vol. 1."

The San Antonio native began his comedic career when he won the Funniest Amateur
Comic in New York Competition in 1995 at Stand Up N.Y. He has appeared at
Rivercenter Comedy Club and Gotham Comedy Club among others. He recently released
his own designer humor line of bilingual greeting cards, "Jade Esteban Estrada for
Nos Vemos Greetings."

Estrada recently completed film "The Innocent Killers" directed by Brett Mauser and
"Callous" directed by Joey Lanai.
