Online Auction Channel Replaces KCove Auction

Released on: January 24, 2008, 6:51 am

Press Release Author: Spivo.com

Industry: Internet & Online

Press Release Summary: SpivO's KCove auction has been replaced with the new SpivO
auction channel.

Press Release Body: SpivO launched their new SpivO Auction channel. The channel
integrates auction listings from eBay as part of SpivO's effort to integrate large
amount of content into the SpivO search engine.

In 2006, SpivO acquired KCove, an online auction. When planning SpivO's renovation,
the technical and marketing committees debated over whether to keep the auction
channel or offer a different solution. Ultimately, they decided to close the online
auction, KCove, and run content directly on SpivO.

SpivO's managing company, Adviatech Corp., was actively involved in the planning for
the former KCove channel. Adviatech Vice President, Jason Bland explains, "SpivO's
mission is to get new content onto the web when possible and bring the web's content
to SpivO when its not. We want SpivO to be an all inclusive site that allows users
to search through various resources and eBay is certainly a huge resource."

The SpivO Auction channel which is also integrated into the SpivO Shopping channel
accesses eBay listings which can be browsed within SpivO or searched for in the
SpivO Search Engine.

SpivO's Jack Thomas commented on how he believed this would benefit SpivO users.
"When someone is shopping for something, you can do them the greatest service by
giving them access to the most content as possible. The resources needed to build a
self standing auction were simply out of the budget and showed little promise of
profitability. We believe the new SpivO Auction concept is a better benefit to the
SpivO user."
