Press Release Body:
Dublin,Ireland,February,29,2008 -- As part of a nationwide program, Windsor
announced today a €3,000 scrappage incentive aimed at encouraging the replacement of
older cars with newer vehicles that deliver better fuel efficiency and lower
emissions. Buyers are encouraged to scrap older, more polluting cars with the
incentive of up to €3,000 off any new or used cars.

New cars have lower emission per km and as a consequence aid in lowering the number
of pollutants and C02 emissions in Ireland. Even if older vehicles are well
maintained, many will not have the latest emission control equipment and are less
fuel efficient than their successors. For example, a 1995 Opel Astra 1.7 D is
capable of an average 44.2mpg, whereas the 1.3 CDTi unit in the current Astra
returns 58.9mpg. Every litre of petrol spared saves 2.4kg of CO2 and every litre of
diesel saves 2.6kg, so an Irish driver covering 12,000 miles a year in the new Astra
versus the old one will save around €400 in fuel and 800kg of CO2 annually. Taking a
thousand petrol vehicles built in the early 1990s off Irish roads would prevent
11.5 tons of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and 41.5 tons of carbon monoxide (CO) being pumped
into the atmosphere each year, based on an annual mileage of 12,000.

The launch of Windsor’s makes the purchasing of a new or used car even more
affordable. In addition to the initial savings of up to €3,000, buyers can feel good
in the knowledge that they are helping the environment. Windsor will offer this
scrappage deal against any new or used car that is purchased in 2008. For more
