Formerly operating under the oversight of the Broward County Jewish Federation, the Meyerhoff Center is now a stand-alone non-profit corporation.

Mike Colodny, a multi-faceted personality, is a well-known figure in different bar associations of Florida and across United States. He is an active member and associate of Florida Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Miami-Dade County Bar Association, United States Supreme Court, Florida State Supreme Court, Florida State and federal Trial and Appellate courts member, The United States Conference of Mayors. Being a socially responsible attorney, he is sincerely involved in different civic communities for many years. He had been the Mayor of City of North for four terms, City Councilman of City of North Miami , Attorney for the President of the Florida Senate.
Mr. Colodny received his bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he was recognized by election to Florida Blue Key, the University of Florida Hall of Fame and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.
