St Anthony’s R.C Primary School in Manchester came together
on 27th February to celebrate the official opening of the new
£10million Manchester Airport Premier Inn.
Over
150 guests from within the local community were expected to attend
the unveiling which began at 12 noon with a champagne reception.
Guests were then invited to take an exclusive tour of the new Manchester
hotel followed by a delicious buffet lunch. In the official
opening ceremony the primary school children were invited to cut
the ribbon marking the latest addition to the Premier
Inn portfolio.
Nigel
Webb, General Manager said before the event: “We
are planning a really fun and varied day for the opening of the
hotel and hope that members of the local community come down and
show their full support. We are positive that the hotel will prove
a success in the local area – especially as we are located
at such a prominent central site. We are very excited about the
opening and both myself and the team are looking forward to welcoming
our first guests.”
The
hotel has proved an immediate hit with its guests, becoming fully
booked on the first Tuesday after its opening.
The
Premier
Inn Manchester Airport Hotel boasts 195 rooms, a licensed
bar and 122-seater restaurant furnished in cutting-edge, contemporary
style. It also benefits from four competitively-priced meeting rooms,
two of which can accommodate up to 40 delegates. A second phase
of 165 bedrooms is due to start being built on 31st March.
