A "No Read" is when a scanner cannot read a barcode label on a carton. This can result from a number of things such as; damaged label, poor print quality, box orientation, etc. Some "No Reads" are expected in every system. However a constant stream of cartons that cannot be read is a serious problem! With consecutive "No Reads," the QC Enterprise WCS can take immediate, corrective action such as stopping the system and sending an alert message to operations and/or maintenance personnel."
