Press Release Body: LAS VEGAS, (April 24, 2008) – Awarding winning actress Terri J. Vaughn (“The Steve Harvey Show” and “Daddy’s Little Girls) and her husband, Karon Riley (Defensive Lineman for Arena Football League’s Cleveland Gladiators) welcomed a son, Kal’El Joseph Riley. The 7lbs, 6 oz baby boy arrived April 21, 2008 at 6:05 p.m. in Los Angeles.

Riley, a first-time dad and Superman fanatic, chose to name his son after his favorite superhero’s Kryptonian name (Kal-El), which he interprets to mean “of God-like abilities.”

“I think the name is very fitting for him—he’s strong, cool and mellow, just perfect,” said Vaughn. “I could tell even when I was carrying him inside me because he made me feel like Superwoman!”

Vaughn and Riley eloped this past January in Las Vegas. Although, this is their first child together, Vaughn has a six-year-old son, Daylen Ali from her first marriage.
