New Pet Radio Show Showcases Adoptable Pets from Humane Societies and Rescue Groups

Released on: May 27, 2008, 5:25 pm

Press Release Author: Susan Daffron

Industry: Non Profit

Press Release Summary: The Take Me Home show shines the light on these \"second
chance\" pets and shares each animal\'s personality, quirks, and story with listeners.

Press Release Body: SANDPOINT, Idaho - A new weekly online radio show about pet
adoption and pet rescue called \"Take Me Home\" has debuted on Pet Life Radio. The
host of the show Susan Daffron is the Founder and President of the National
Association of Pet Rescue Professionals (www.NAPRP.com) and the author of two books
on caring for adopted pets. Every week on \"Take Me Home,\" she talks to guests from
animal shelters and rescue groups about pets that may have been overlooked for one
reason or another, but still need a loving \"forever home.\"

The format of the show is designed to give people involved in rescuing homeless
animals an opportunity to showcase one of their adoptable pets. The Take Me Home
show shines the light on these \"second chance\" pets and shares each animal\'s
personality, quirks, and story with listeners. Because each pet is an individual,
Daffron focuses her questions on the pet\'s special needs and offers educational
information to help adopters make good decisions along with tips for dealing with
common problems.

The half hour long radio show gives people from rescue groups a chance to go into
detail about what an animal is really like on a day-to-day basis. In fact, Lucy a
black Labrador retriever in Idaho that was featured on the first show has already
been adopted.

Rescue groups are encouraged to contact Daffron about being a guest on the show.
Interested humane organizations can contact her using the contact form at The
National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals (NAPRP) Web site at
http://www.naprp.com. (Click the Contact link on the right side.) The association
provides tools, forms, graphics, and information to help those working in rescue,
humane societies, or animal shelters raise more money, provide adopter education,
and save more pets lives. Visitors to the site also can sign up to receive a
complimentary report called \"101 Fundraising Ideas for Rescues, Shelters, and Humane
Organizations.\"
