today announced the release of its new auditing product, Sentryfx
Audit Log™. With the adoption of
this technology, healthcare providers will be able to answer relevant
HIPAA queries and identify unusual or questionable activity on their
systems.
At a high-level,
the new product offers a centralized audit log that tracks user
activities such as access of applications and patient records. These
tools will
allow dully authorized personnel to quickly answer two fundamental
questions: Who
has or may have accessed a patient’s electronic record and
from which applications was it accessed? And, what records has the
user accessed and through which applications was the access?
