Underground Music & Philm Festival launches a five-day/four
night film and music event held in conjunction with October Gallery’s
19th Annual Philadelphia International Art Expo Week.
October Gallery’s
Philadelphia International Art Expo is an art expo of popular African
American art like no other. It is not by accident that in late fall
of every
year the aisles of the PIAE are jammed with tens of thousands of
individuals. Philadelphia International Art Expo is the nation’s
largest African American art expo.
The Philly Underground
Music & Philm Festival is pleased to have the opportunity to
partner with the October Gallery and the Legendary Blue Horizon
for this year’s festival.

The Philly Underground
Music & Philm Festival (P.U.M.P.) celebrates the historic
underground roots of Philadelphia’s music and cinema scenes.
P.U.M.P is a journey of
classic and new underground films, which contain quintessential
performances, and
evenings with dream line-ups of live music at the best of Philadelphia’s
music venues.
We are currently
accepting films in four genres…. the Short film (narrative),
Feature film (narrative), Documentary and Music Video. We will pay
tribute to the lesser-known-and even forgotten- bands that were
able to break out locally and
regionally, but not necessarily nationally.
P.U.M.P. celebrates
through cinema and music the creativity that has forever characterized
Philadelphia.

The festivals
primary venue is The Legendary Blue Horizon. The Blue Horizon is
the Number One Boxing Venue in the world, the last boxing venue
of its kind in the United States and was the site of the filming
of the movie, “Rocky V”.
Join us, on
Wednesday, November 10 thru Sunday, November 14, 2004 for art, music,
and film, at the Philly Underground Music & Philm Festival!
