Press Release Author: Subscriptions for Soldiers

Industry: Internet & Online

Press Release Summary: Subscriptions for Soldiers, a program sponsored by
Magazines.com, makes discounted magazine subscriptions available to gift-givers for
active-deployed service members around the globe.

Press Release Body: Subscriptions are heavily discounted to $10 per magazine title
for a year's subscription. Thirty different magazine titles are offered, such as
Outdoor Life, Shape, Muscle & Fitness, Guns & Ammo and Star.

Gift-givers visit www.subs4soldiers.com to donate a subscription to a service member
they know or be paired anonymously with a service member who has submitted a
request. Each service member may request up to three subscriptions by visiting
www.subs4servicemembers.com.

"We believe there are many Americans, regardless of how they feel about the politics
of war, who really want to let our troops, all over the world, know how much we
appreciate them," said Jay Clarke, Magazines.com CEO, "At the same time there are
soldiers far away from their families who long for a little taste of home."

Subscriptions for Soldiers has gathered approximately 9,000 subscription wishes and
will continue to solicit wishes from service members with the help of Stars and
Stripes and Military.com. This inexpensive but meaningful gift-giving service will
continue indefinitely and is already getting good reviews from participating service
members.

"Programs like [this] allow soldiers/airmen/Marines/sailors the chance to forget
about the possibility of losing your life and those around you for a few minutes a
day. And those fleeting, precious minutes are a welcome break from the rigors of
war," said 2nd Lt. Matt, of the U.S. Air Force.

For service members deployed overseas, receiving a favorite magazine is like getting
a little piece of home every month. For more information, visit
www.subs4soldiers.com.
