Tokyo News Commodity Revival Lifts Prime Miners, Explorers

Released on: September 23, 2008, 5:22 am

Press Release Author: Peter Brice

Industry: Financial

Press Release Summary: ‘First Prime Group’: Commodities’ explorers and miners gain
on crude & precious metals’ resurgence.

Press Release Body: First Prime Group have apparently hailed the renewed attraction
of raw materials and the companies producing them as a potentially lucrative sector
for investment.

An unnamed First Prime Group commentator opined that in the absence of little more
than the usual defensive stocks that traditionally provide a home for investors’
capital, the shares of mining and oil exploration firms may present investors with
stellar potential for growth.

The commodities bull market, which was evidently prematurely declared over, has
rebounded spectacularly in the days following several financial sector bailouts and
plunging global indices. First Prime Group’s source said that the sector had been
oversold in the wake of the recent correction in prices of key commodities including
gold, oil and copper.

Gold and oil have enjoyed large upward moves which have returned them to
close-to-pre-correction levels.
