Calculating Your Carfun Footprint
The Carfun Footprint score consists of two equally weighted factors - a fun-to-drive
and a green factor. The Delight Index is based on 130 different vehicle ratings and
takes into consideration the total impact a car has on the buyer. The owner's
ranking is recorded under the Fun rating. The study includes data collected from
buyers of new vehicles. Furthermore, three values are used to calculate green score
of each car - the Environmental Protection Agency Green Vehicle Guide uses the Air
Pollution Score to represent emissions. The Combined MPG represents fuel economy.
Together, these two values account for environmental emission factors that occur
during the operational lifetime of the car.
