service firm devoted the promotion of artists and the arts launched this past July.

Founded by seasoned PR/Marketing expert Laurena Marrone-Campos, Grit is structured
to provide low-cost services to artists and arts organizations. All staff and
partners in the venture are both artists and experts in their respective positions,
offering the client a genuine understanding of the goals, obstacles, and financial
limitations often facing artists and arts organizations in today's market.

"The goal of Grit is to enable artists from across the world to focus on their art
rather than business of promotion, marketing and publicity," states Marrone-Campos.
"Artists and arts organizations need and deserve access to low-cost, professional
services."

Marrone-Campos started her career in Public Relations in Los Angeles in the late
1980's. She has worked in the industries of music, visual art, and performing arts
including positions with MCA Records, The Portland Art Museum, and Allegro Music.
In 2000, she founded the very successful nonprofit Solo Flamenco and went on to
organize, promote and fundraise for the Northwest's first international Flamenco
festivals in 2005 and 2007.

In addition to its visual and performing arts focus, Grit has just launched a
Fashion division that will enable young designers to have a promotional partner in
the exposure of their work. Grit's first fashion-oriented client is Suzanne Sherman
of www.fatcathatsandsacks.com, a respected accessories designer in Portland, Oregon.
