Affordable Web Site Usability Reviews For Home and Small
Online Businesses

Released on = November 22, 2004, 12:59 pm

Press Release Author = Cre8pc.com

Industry = Internet & Online

Press Release Summary = It’s not easy for a small business web site to compete on the Internet with well-established corporate and large business web sites.

Press Release Body = FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Philadelphia, PA - Pennsylvania based usability consultant, Kim Krause, has seen the same question asked over and over. “My web site isn’t performing well. What am I doing wrong?”

Well-known in the Search Engine Optimization and Marketing Industry, and trained in Quality Assurance Internet software application testing, Kim, who is the owner of such web sites as Cre8pc.com and Cre8asiteForums.com, launched the UsabilityEffect.com web site. It’s mission is to help web based businesses solve their problems affordably and with integrity.

“When I was starting out in 1995 I didn’t have a budget for web design or marketing. I had to teach myself as best I could. There’s a better feeling of independence and control of one’s web site destiny when the owner understands what goes into building and marketing it. Finding credible information and quick answers doesn’t have to
cost a lot of money,” Kim notes. “My usability testing services are targeted to self-learners, as well as the advanced needs required by corporate web sites.”

UsabilityEffect.com web site testing comes in a variety of formats. First, there is the Free Web Site Testing Center, which covers the basics of user centered web design, offers feedback question ideas, plus books and testing tools. Two
downloadable PDF publications are offered for a low fee. Both are focused on increasing sales conversions and fine-tuning designs so they’re easier to use.

Kim points out, “The publication called ‘How to Quench Your Web Site Visitors’ Thirst’ goes into great detail about increasing traffic, feedback, sales and even newsletter registrations.”

Web site usability evaluations are priced according to company size and their current needs. Each evaluation is based on proprietary test cases developed to cover latest trends in the usability industry, as well as pioneering aspects such as
the emotional connection with a web site visitor. As new design and usage trends develop on the Internet, Kim’s test cases are modified to include them. User centered design and an emphasis on customer satisfaction are always key points.

“My reviews are not designed to be web site design critiques. I’m looking for structure, layout, logic, ways to increase conversions and solutions for page
abandonment. I’m not rating or scoring anyone’s web site. Web site owners are quite fond of their sites, as well as sensitive and protective. I’m their advocate and guide, not their judge.”

In addition to UsabilityEffect.com web site testing services, a Usability Resources section covers everything from white papers, case studies, articles and web sites in the Human Factors, Usability, Information Architecture and User Centered Design
fields. Kim has many Partners from search engine marketing and web design companies who offer her web site evaluations, many in conjunction with their services or projects.
