Press Release Body = Nation's largest proprietary ATM deployer expands advanced ATM technology capabilities

DAYTON, Ohio – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) announced today an agreement with Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) to provide APTRA™ Edge open-architecture, client-server software to power the bank’s advanced-function automated teller machine (ATM) channel.

“APTRA addresses a full breadth of complex and diverse business initiatives, based on a single integrated software platform architecture,” said Keith Taylor, senior vice president of NCR’s Financial Solutions Division. “We are very excited about expanding our existing relationship with Bank of America as they join a growing list of clients driving advanced ATM functionality.”

More than 70 percent of all multivendor projects worldwide currently run on NCR’s Windows®-based APTRA platform, which enables advanced transactions and relationship-driven services, such as personal preferences, voice guidance and “No Envelope” Deposit.

“This move will allow us to deploy a single application environment across our multivendor ATM network of more than 16,000 ATMs,” said Tom Korzik, ATM executive, Bank of America. “It gives us the ability to decrease the time and cost involved in developing and initiating new functions across our network.”
