Press Release Summary = (Aruntx.com Newswire) New York City Holiday Specials A Tradition.

Press Release Body = NEW YORK, NY (Aruntx.com Newswire) November 22, 2004 -- The 78th anniversary of America’s favorite parade will feature a stellar cast of fabulous floats, and all the spectacular pageantry, fun and surprises that have made this annual New York extravaganza a perennial favorite. Aruntx Publishing Company wants you to know that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® begins at 78th Street and Central Park West. It proceeds to Columbus Circle and turns onto Broadway. The Parade marches down Broadway and turns west on 34th Street,
just past Macy's Herald Square. The parade finishes at 7th Avenue. Al Roker will host this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" for NBC television. The parade steps off at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Roker's "Today" co-hosts Matt Lauer and Katie Couric will share hosting duties as the parade's floats, balloons, marching bands and performers travel the streets of New York. Al Roker, NBC weatherman, has hosted NBC's coverage of the Macy's parade for about seven years, so he knows how to handle things if a float gets stuck or the wind plays havoc with the giant balloons.

"Christmas In Rockefeller Center". The annual tree lighting ceremony and celebration
returns 30 November, NBC. The Rockefeller Center tree tradition stretches back to
the 1930s. . Al Roker and Nancy O'Dell co-host the evening. "You hit a button and
the tree gets lit. There's something kind of magical about it. It's really not the
holidays until the tree gets lit," according to Al Roker. Live performances include
a duet from Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey, plus holiday songs from Hilary Duff and
Clay Aiken.
