Shandong Unicom Awards Lucent Technologies Next-Generation Networking Contract

The converged next-generation network will enable Shandong Unicom customers to make calls between computers, traditional telephones, IP phones and wireless devices. IP Centrex services for enterprise customers may include interactive voice response and one-number calling that can enable the recipient to be reached whether on a traditional phone or IP device. Our Accelerate™ Solutions for next generation networks offer customers converged solutions that include industry-leading IMS--compliant systems, software and services. The Accelerate™ solution for Shandong Unicom includes the IMS-ready Lucent Network Controller (a media gateway controller) and Lucent feature servers to deliver next generation IP services, as well as installation and deployment by Lucent Worldwide services.
