Hotels-London.co.uk - Be Entertained by Into The Woods in London

Tourists will have the opportunity to see open-air theatre show Into The Woods in London this summer.

They can check out this fantastical story by heading to Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from their London hotel until September 11th.

It takes the classic tales of Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and several others to create a surprising and entertaining plot that is more suited to adults than children.

"Into the Woods takes the stories of the Brothers Grimm and gives them a dark and humorous twist," explained the organisers.

The music and lyrics of the production, which runs for about two hours and 45 minutes, were written by Stephen Sondheim, who is celebrating his 80th birthday this year.

While the concept features familiar characters, the situations in which they find themselves are anything but traditional and will leave audiences with plenty to think about.

The performance is co-directed by Timothy Sheader and Liam Steel, who previously worked together on Romeo and Juliet.

Both will know the open air theatre format well, as Sheader directed Hello, Dolly! and Steel took the helm for The Tempest in outdoor productions.

Performances take place at different times, depending on the date, with entrance starting from £18.

For more information on this event visit the Open Air Theatre website or contact the venue on 0844 826 4242.
