Parents and children could have a blast in London at the Family Funday at Epsom Downs this summer, with plenty of activities and races confirmed to go ahead.

While many guests at Mayfair hotels will probably want to see some of the amazing tourist sights that the capital city has to offer, they should also make time to have a little fun.

The Family Funday at Epsom Downs on August 30th is sure to deliver just that for parents, since there are seven horse races taking place, with the first setting off at 14:00 BST.

Horseracing has been going on at the venue since the 1660s, so it is no surprise to see animals galloping around the track.

Among the entertaining challenges on show will be The Sprint - in which horses must charge down the course's home straight - and The Amateur Derby.

Meanwhile, there are all sorts of things going on to cater for kids of different ages, with games, face-painting, a bouncy castle and pony rides all available, as well as "interactive Roald Dahl story tellers", according to the organisers.

"Gates open at midday and once again this year, Epsom has something for everyone, from tiny tots to teens and parents. Our line up should keep even the most discerning visitor entertained for the day," they added.

Tickets for the event cost £15 in advance or £20 on the day.
