The best art of the year will be on show at London's Tate Britain for the next few months, as the Turner Prize 2010 finalists will be displayed there.

It does not matter if people are art fanatics or simply curious as to which entrants are in with a chance of winning one of the most prestigious accolades in the world - the Turner Prize 2010 is sure to be intriguing.

The four shortlisted finalists this year are Dexter Dalwood, Angela De La Cruz, Susan Philipsz and The Otolith Group, with hotel London guests able to check out their art until January 3rd 2011.

So many big names have won the prize in the past - such as Damien Hurst and Grayson Perry - and each of the final contestants is no doubt eager to add their name to the list.

According to the organisers, the rules stipulate the piece of art must have been presented in Britain in the year leading up to April 28th 2010 by an artist under 50 years old, who was either born, works or lives in Britain.

Entrance to this important display is £8, although there are concessionary tickets available at £6.

The arts space opens from 10:00 to 17:50 GMT every day, although the first Friday of each month sees the building shut its doors at 22:00, with tickets half price after 17:30.

For more information on this event visit the Tate website or contact the venue on +44 (0)20 7887 8888.
