Hotels-London.co.uk - Take the Kids to See My Dad's A Birdman in London

Travellers with London hotel bookings could enjoy a night at the theatre by getting tickets for My Dad's A Birdman at the Young Vic.

This family-friendly production offers audiences an uplifting story and music by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of veteran pop act the Pet Shop Boys.

Written by David Almond, the tale sees a girl and her father preparing to take off at the Great Human Bird Competition, but the pair must overcome a variety of obstacles before they can take part.

The show is on from November 25th 2010 until January 1st 2011 and could be a great activity for families staying at nearby accommodation such as the Tophams Belgravia Hotel London who want to get in the Christmas spirit.

Although the performance is recommended for the under-10s, Mr Almond's story is likely to be popular with a much wider audience thanks to the fun plot.

"Will the dynamic father and daughter duo get a chance to fly, or will sums, dumplings and headmasters get in their way?" pondered the organisers.

Tickets for the show cost £10 for an adult and £8 for children, with the passes available to buy from the box office or online.

There will be several performances each day, with the first at 10:30 GMT and the last at 17:30.

Among Mr Almond's other stories is Skellig, which was also adapted for the stage and put on at the Young Vic.

For more information on this event, visit the Young Vic website or contact the venue on 020 7922 2922.
