Cotswold hotel guests planning a festive shopping expedition may decide to head for Bath over the next few weeks.

The Somerset city's traditional Christmas Market begins on November 25th and will run until December 12th, offering more than 120 wooden chalets of seasonal gifts and delicious food.

Situated in a visually inspiring section of Bath, the market can be found between the abbey and the famous Roman Baths.

Among the stalls, visitors should come across everything they need for their Christmas shopping bags, from stocking fillers to unique gifts and handmade tree decorations.

There will also be plenty on offer in the way of refreshments, including warming soups, festive Gluhwein and other seasonal specialities.

Due to the popularity of the Christmas Market, this year's event has been extended by seven days to give people more opportunities to visit.

It is free to enter and also offers holidaymakers in the Cotswolds a chance to explore the historic sights of Bath.

The market will be open from 10:00 GMT each day, although there is some variance in the closing times and the stalls will not begin trading until 11:00 on Sundays.
