During the story, which is told in three acts, two wealthy women get their own back on the titular hero for attempting to court them both. It is a hugely funny production and visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the opera by heading to the foyer of the venue 45 minutes before the show begins.
The show kicks off at 20:00 local time most days, with tickets starting from €7.50 (£6.40) and available to buy online. Based on Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor, Falstaff was the third of Verdi's operas to be based on stories by the Bard.
