Popular Scuba Dive iPhone Application Updated

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (November 15, 2010) – Divetime.com today announced a new release of their popular scuba diving iPhone application. The Divetime iPhone App Version 2 includes some great new features:

* In addition to 12,500 dive sites, a global database of 8,500 dive shops can now also be searched. With the addition of dive shops, the Divetime iPhone application confirms its position as the most comprehensive mobile resource for scuba divers worldwide.
* User reviews and photos can now be viewed on dive site and dive shops.
* GPS co-ordinates are now displayed with dive site details.
* The GPS accuracy has been increased.
* A new text-based search feature was added.

These new features build on the existing user functionality, which includes:

* Nearby search, leveraging the iPhone’s GPS capabilities to find scuba dive sites (and now dive shops) in the user’s vicinity.
* Integration with Google Maps to plot search results.
* Map-based search to locate scuba diving locations and resources anywhere in the world.
* Detailed information about dive sites (an dive shops) including depth, visibility, currents, access methods and marine life.
* Saved search locations, bookmarks and custom user settings.

Existing features have been updated with various bug fixes and performance enhancements.
