Hotels-London.co.uk - Prepare for a Whirlwind of Silly Acting at Potted Panto in London

Industry: Travel

All sorts of silly goings-on are on the cards at Potted Panto at the Vaudeville Theatre in London, with seven classic tales being weaved together for one big festive production.

Among the stories set to be told during the 80-minute running time are Sleeping Beauty, Dick Whittington, Snow White and A Christmas Carol.

Parents staying at the fine hotels London offers may recognise the stars of the production - CBBC's Dan and Geoff - from their children's television schedule.

The pair have a cracking time interpreting the well-known tales and the organisers claimed the silliness on stage will appeal to anyone from six years old up to 106.

"In a madcap ride through the biggest stories and best-loved characters from panto, our dastardly double act dash from rubbing Aladdin's lamp to roaming the golden streets of Dick Whittington's London," they added.

When Potted Panto was performed at Edinburgh Festival the production received plenty of acclaim, including praise from the Daily Mail and the Scotsman.

The piece is being staged at various times between December 10th 2010 and January 9th 2011.

Admission costs between £20 and £25 for adults, while passes for children are available for £15.

Travellers heading to the venue from nearby accommodation such as the Durrants Hotel London can take the tube to either Charing Cross or Embankment.

For more information on this event, visit the Vaudeville Theatre website or contact the venue on 0844 412 4663.
