Travellers booked into hotels in Paris this winter could check out a stunning exhibition devoted to Bulgari jewellery at the Grand Palais's The Nave arts space.

Running from December 10th 2010 to January 12th 2011, the show is sure to please fans of luxury adornments, with all manner of precious stones on display.

The title of the collection is 125 Years of Italian Magnificence and the organisers aim to live up to this grand name by presenting more than 500 items from the Bulgari stores.

Organised chronologically, the exhibition will give attendees from nearby accommodation such as Hotel Residence Villiers Paris a chance to see how styles have changed over the years.

An example of this is the prominence of silver and diamonds in the first half of the 20th century, with designers gradually beginning to use more varied materials and stones as time went on.

"After the enormous success of its 125th anniversary celebration in Rome last year, the luxury jeweller will be bringing its exhibition to Paris for the first time," remarked the organisers.

Entrance costs €12 (£10.15) and the building is open from 10:00 to 20:00 local time every day except for Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, when it shuts at 22:00.

Bulgari appears to be doing well despite the state of the global economy, recently recording a 14 per cent rise in sales for the third quarter of the year.
