Crush Festival 2011 is sure to tempt plenty of food and drink
lovers to take advantage of last minute hotel deals and
visit the Adelaide Hills region.
The spectacle takes place on January 30th at wine and tapas bar The Locavore in
Stirling, located less than a 30-minute drive away from a number of Adelaide hotels.
While a large number of activities have been planned for the run-up to the occasion,
the main event is undoubtedly the one-hour Discover More wine masterclass at the
eatery.
This session is hosted by some of South Australia's most talented winemakers and
features the gold medal winners of this year's Adelaide Hills Wine Show, as well as
reds, whites and roses that were picked out as highlights of the ceremony.
Cheap accommodation Adelaide customers keen to make the short trip from the city to
check out the occasion need not worry about booking in advance, as admission to the
Crush Festival tasting classes costs A$20 on the door.
Darryl Catlin of Shaw & Smith Winery and Hylton McLean from the Honeymoon Vineyard
will present the first of these sittings at 11:30 local time.
Various other experts from the local wine industry have been picked out to host the
subsequent sessions, which are due to take place at The Locavore at 13:00 and 14:30.
