Drap-Art is organising the 7th International Creative Recycling Festival in Barcelona this winter.

The non-profit organisation aims to show the potential for artists to reuse objects that may have otherwise been thrown away and puts together workshops all over the world.

Travellers staying at the cheap hotels Barcelona has available will be able to see more than 150 pieces by a variety of creators.

Among the artists taking part this year are La Buena y La Mala, Sara Beltrame, Sixeart, Gandalf Gavan and MOSTIXQI.

"This year, the Drap-Art association is celebrating its 15th anniversary by extending its traditional Christmas fair with a Twelfth Night fair and other
surprises."

The organisation will put on art events from December 17th to 19th 2010 and between January 3rd and 5th 2011 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB).

As well as these opportunities to purchase pieces on show, there will also be an exhibition at the same venue until January 9th.

Tourists heading to this creative and fun festival can expect to enjoy audiovisual displays, workshops and talks throughout the course of the occasion.

It is free to enter, with opening hours at the CCCB running from Tuesdays to Sundays between 11:00 and 20:00 local time and shutting at 22:00 on Thursdays.

There will be shorter opening times on special days over the Christmas period.

For more information on this event, visit the CCCB website or contact the venue on +34 93 306 41 00.
