LateRooms.com - Naples is Set to Rock

Released on: December 23, 2010, 1:17 pm
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

Music enthusiasts may wish to check out an exhibition called Rock during their stay at Naples hotels.

The display will incorporate a huge variety of different media to look at what constitutes a rock'n'roll icon and which instruments are used by artists in this genre.

There are five themed zones for attendees to explore at the exhibition in the Palazzo delle Arti, Napoli (PAN).

As well as having the opportunity to peruse all manner of photographs, posters and other items, visitors may be able to take part in music workshops if they check out the display in January.

The collection is on show until January 31st and boasts sub-sections such as NapoLiverpool and American Dreams, as it celebrates 50 years of the rock'n'roll genre.

Travellers heading down to PAN to see this fun exhibition may also be interested by the building it is housed in.

Formerly home to royalty, the 17th century Palazzo Roccella was eventually bought by Naples council and restored to become an arts space.

It is €5 (£4.20) to enter the facility and some workshops may involve a small charge.

Opening hours at the complex are from 09:30 to 19:30 local time between Mondays and Saturdays - except for Tuesdays, when it is closed - and 09:30 to 14:30 on Sundays.

For more information on this event, visit the PAN website or contact the venue on +39 081 7958605.
