People in the mood for some entertainment during a Christmas stay in Bournemouth hotels may like to make the short trip to Lighthouse in Poole.

The Dorset town's arts centre is staging a festive pantomime version of Peter Pan with a cast of celebrity stars, including impressionist and former Coronation Street actress Debra Stephenson.

Running from December 10th 2010 to January 9th 2011, the show will also feature the talents of CBBC presenter Michael Absalom and former Emmerdale star Gary Turner.

According to Lighthouse, the pantomime is set to offer "guaranteed family fun for those that never want to grow up".

Stephenson will play Peter Pan, with Absalom starring as Smee and Turner prompting plenty of boos and hisses from the audience as the dastardly Captain Hook.

Tickets can be purchased from £14.50 and family discounts are available on selected performances.

Lighthouse began life as the Poole Arts Centre in 1978 and now issues more than 200,000 tickets each year for its various music, theatre, film, visual arts, comedy and dance productions. The venue is also home to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
