Motorcycle enthusiasts, trade figures and music lovers are set to descend on Dubai next month for the 2011 Gulf Bike Week.

The event is the only one of its kind in the Middle East and is dedicated to showing off the latest innovations in sports bikes, cruisers, all-terrain and off-road vehicles, accessories and much more.

Interest in the spectacle is likely to be high, with more than 30,000 visitors attending last year's edition, plus 1,000 members of the media. With such a large number of people expected to pass through the doors at the emirate's Festival City venue, demand for Dubai hotels is likely to be high.

The popularity of the expo is only likely to be higher given that two major music acts - Pharrell Williams' group N*E*R*D and soul singer Amy Winehouse - have been lined up to play.

Of these, the former will take to the stage on February 10th at 20:00 local time, with general admission tickets priced at 250 UAE dirhams (£44).

Winehouse, meanwhile, will appear at 21:00 the following night, with passes costing 300 UAE dirhams and above.

The event itself runs from February 10th to 12th, with day passes that allow access to everything but these two performances available for 40 UAE dirhams.
